The department has separate computing facilities consisting of several Pentium - IV based servers & Pentium - IV nodes, all connected into 100 Mbps LAN, and supported by accessories such as colour plotter, colour scanners, line matrix printers, CD writer, CD ROM Server, digital cameras, multimedia projector etc. The software repertoire consists of DB2, Oracle 8i, Developer 2000, ,PB, Visual Studio, Matlab, Mathematical MathCAD, Turbo Analyst, SPSS, AutoCAD 2000 SPICE, etc. and real time 3D simulation software Multigen Creator and VEGA. Fast connectivity(64 KBPS) to the computers of the campus is provided by a dedicated ISDN Line. This facilitates faster internet access saving time and increasing productivity. Students and staff can access the net around the clock for educational purposes. |

To keep pace with the revolutionary advancement in Machines and Materials Technology, academicians were compelled to introduce a very specialized undergraduate programme in “PRODUCTION ENGINEERING”
MIT hopes that by imparting specialized quality training to the pupils of this course it can cater to the need of the Mechanical Process Industries and thus contribute to the overall industrial development of INDIA.
Students will be given exposure to consultancy and all the students would be doing industry sponsored special projects in different fields. The department has well equipped workshops and labs. In addition, it has exclusive Computer Aided Manufacturing and Computer Aided Design Lab with P IV Computers with softwares such as Auto CAD 2000, Unigraphics, IDEAS, CAD/CAM. The production lab will be equipped with CNC Trainer Lab, CNC Milling Machine etc. |
